General Membership
Once you are on the Members Plan Page, select the plan that best suits your needs and purchase your plan right here on the website. If you purchase a plan with insurance, you will receive a copy of your pollicy within 30 days via email. If you do not receive it, contact the Membership Chair, Howard Cormier, directly.
Once you become a member, you will need to create an account here on the Louisiana Equine Council website to have access to our groups. To do that, you need to create a username (email address) and password. Once you set up your account here, you can opt to change your name and create a profile that will be visible to other members. From there, select any LEC groups you have an interest in and join them. Be sure to take a look at our Committees too. If you would like to become more involved, contact the Committee Chair of any Committee you wish to volunteer to be a part of.
Business Memberships
Once you are on the Membership Plans Page, select the plan that best suits your needs and purchase your plan right here on the website. As a business or equine organization, you have three options: VIP Sponsor, Gold Star Affiliate, LEC Affiliate. Each plan has the benefits listed. With all three plans you must set up an account here with a password and your username. From there you will be granted access to specific groups associated with your membership plan. You may also set up your public profile page with a link to your businesses/organization and any graphics you wish to place on your profile.
If you select VIP Sponsor or Gold Star Affiliate, any logos or business card graphics must be emailed directly to the marketing chair for placement on the website based on your member plan benefits. Both of these plans also include access to our Resource Guide where you may set up an album for your store or product line and start placing ads.
The Louisiana Equine Council is proud to be able to offer complementary membership plans to breed associations and equine rescue and adoption groups. ALL plans must set up an account here with a password and username. From there you will be granted access to specific groups associated with your membership plan. You may also set up your public profile page with a link to your organization and any graphics you wish to place on your profile. Breed Associations should forward their logos to the marketing chair.
Honorary Memberships are provided to individuals who are Public Servants, Elected Officials, and sometimes Citizens who have gone beyond the call of duty to support the Louisiana Equine Industry in the State of Louisiana. These memberships are by invitation only.
We also offer a complementary youth membership to instill work ethics in a positive way while instilling service to community. Youth will receive a LEC Youth Volunteer ribbon to wear when they are working as a volunteer which is theirs to keep. Youth must be at least 12 years of age and under 21 and must re-register each year. Parents or other close Family Members must be current LEC members. Only youth accounts will only have access to the Busy Bees group along with LEC staff members. This is where volunteer opportunities will be posted. Pre-teen accounts must be managed by parents or legal guardians.
